NEVEON foam.protect deflammo

Our foam.protect deflammo YF4217 ND product combines the extreme durability of foam.hybrid eNdura with the flame-retardant effect of natural expandable graphite. As a result, this unique specialty foam is not only highly durable (WCS < 5 %) but also both extremely soft and fire-resistant in accordance with BS 5852 Crib 5 and MVSS 302. This makes it perfect for comfortable mattresses, toppers and pillows that also have to meet special fire safety requirements. To fulfill stringent fire prevention regulations, comfort foam has previously had to contain halogenated flame retardants or melamine. But with foam.protect deflammo, this is now a thing of the past because it does not contain any outdated halogenated flame additives or melamine and yet simultaneously meets the stringent fire safety requirements for reliable, state-of-the-art and comfortable foam. Thanks to the innovative melamine- and halogen-free formulation, foam.protect deflammo is ideally equipped to meet future needs.

Certified to: OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, CertiPURTM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001; LGA-tested for contaminants, winner of the 2023 interzum award

Foam.protect deflammo applications

Born not to Burn: Graphite Foam by NEVEON

NEVEON's graphite foam offers maximum fire protection combined with maximum comfort. Future-proof without melamine and halogen.
Our graphite foam can be used in a wide variety of applications, such as aircraft or train seats, automotive applications, upholstered furniture, bedding or packaging. NEVEON graphite foams achieve their high flame resistance through the use of expandable graphite. This expands when exposed to heat and forms a large carbon/graphite layer that protects the foam from the flames. This prevents the foam from melting and dripping. Due to the expanding effect, no sources of fire can develop in the graphite foam. In addition, the carbon/graphite layer extracts oxygen from the surrounding air, making the foam self-extinguishing.
